Wind Sculptures By the Sea

I have become fascinated by these windmill sculptures in a small park area in Speightstown and keep returning to examine them at varying times of the day, to see how they look against a different coloured sky and sea, and when the wind picks up, to watch them spin and twirl.

An internet search has revealed that they are by American sculptor Lyman Whitaker.

I have no idea how they came to be here, or if they are permanent, but they are a very short walk from where I’m staying and a tremendous lure every time I pass by.  Perfectly balanced, they turn and spin with even the gentlest of breezes.
