Stick This to That – Collage in Drawing Class

We’d been warned that we would be attempting collage in this week’s drawing class; asked to bring paper, card or material we thought might be useful.  I arrived equipped with cereal and cracker boxes retrieved from the recycling bin, paper carrier bags from Nike, Estee Lauder and Hermes, tissue paper from shoe boxes, and offcuts of Laura Ashley prints from the 1980s.  Look what they made.

It was a huge challenge, and it took hours to complete, but after all, was huge fun and I only get a little bit of glue in my hair.

Just to give you a clue, this was the tableau on which it was all based.

    • Thanks Voula. I’m surprised – but it was fun to do. (It got a little bit crushed on the train on the way home, so it’s life is limited……)
