The Change of the Season

The unusually warm sunny weather is on its way out, according to the forecasters, and we are now set for proper autumn.  There’s a chill in the evening air, the bus was packed with children in new school uniforms yesterday afternoon, and it’s getting noticeably darker earlier in the evening.

Although I do enjoy the change in the seasons, still I’ve been looking at my photos of the summer, to hang on to brightness for just a little bit longer.

And then, metaphorically, it’s back to school for me too.

  1. We;ve had beautiful warm sunshine since Monday, almost like summer, and then just when I was getting into it, today is grey and wet and cold again. Shouldn’t have packed my hw bottle away.

    • Well it’s sunny here this morning, so maybe it’s not your turn to have all the sun just yet! There must be a SA equivalent to ‘nair cast a clout til May be out’? (Rough translation…. don’t abandon your warm underwear until the end of May….)(!)
